Nancy “Nana” Brewer, 78, Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Visitation will be Sunday, October 6, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Wade Hunt officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Nana was a member of Cox Boulevard Church of Christ and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, William Gary Brewer; parents, Roy and Bonnie Flowers; and brother, Billy Flowers.
Nana is survived by her daughter, Christy, and her husband, Tim, whom she considered a son and loved dearly; brother, Larry Flowers (Debbie); granddaughter, Kayla Kennamore (Justin Miller); nieces, Debbie Charles (Steve), Darlene Flowers, and Caroline Miller; nephew, Clint Flowers; grand-nieces, Brandi Charles, Stephanie Harper (Ross), Catherine Miller, and Natalie Charles; four great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and best friends of fifty-two years, Judy Stark and Carolyn Patrick.
Pallbearers will be Steve Charles, Ross Harper, Terry Kennamore, Justin Miller, Jamie Charles, and Jim Patrick. Larry and Clint Flowers, and J.D. Choat will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Colbert County Animal Shelter.
