Mrs. Nancy Marie Coirier, age 81, of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.
Nancy was born on July 13, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Christopher Lexau and Hjordis Knapp Lexau. She was married to her beloved husband, Robert Coirier for sixty-five years. Nancy was well-recognized world-wide for painting miniatures. She was an extremely talented artist. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia. Additionally, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, Newcomer’s Club and enjoyed the Maury County Senior’s Center.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband: Robert Coirier of Columbia; sons: Richard (Laura) Coirier of Lake Zurich, Illinois and Chris (Cheryl) Coirier of Northbrook, Illinois; and grandchildren: Danny, Nathaniel and Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Jim Lexau.
Funeral services for Nancy will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12 Noon at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of First Presbyterian Church of Columbia, The Red Hat Society, Newcomer’s Club and Senior Citizen’s Center.
