Nancy Keele Wilkerson was born on April 22, 1918, in Hardin County to the late John Henry and Minnie Lizzie Beth Shuburg Brown.
She was united in marriage to John Keele in 1935, and he preceded her in death on January 19, 1974. She was united in marriage to Dillon Wilkerson on March 9, 1977, and he preceded her in death on August 18, 1985.
Mrs. Wilkerson was a lifelong resident of the Burnt Church Community and a member of the Sand Hill Holiness Church in Savannah, Tennessee. At one time, she was employed by Garan Manufacturing in Adamsville, Tennessee; she also farmed and was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, attending storage unit auctions and most of all, spending time with her kids, grand kids and great-grand kids.
Mrs. Wilkerson departed this life on August 22, 2013, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 95 years and 4 months.
She is survived by eight children, Cletus Keele and Betty Hunt of Savannah, Tennessee, Minnie Keele Ralls of San Antonio, Texas, James Keele, Randy Wilkerson, Brenda Melson and Stevie Wilkerson of Savannah, Tennessee and Gene Wilkerson of Kennett, Missouri, twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, John Keele and her husband, Dillon Wilkerson she was preceded in death by five children, William Henry Keele, Clyde Keele, Otis Clarence Keele, Mattie Hollis and Chester Wilkerson and two grandchildren, Nicky Keele and Cynthia Jane Wilkerson and one great-grandchild, Felix Melson, two brothers, Virgil Brown and Carl Brown, and three sisters, May Gann, Mary Tyler and Irene Bennett.
