Nancy Kathryn Wells Hofues

Nancy Kathryn Wells Hofues, 89, of Huntsville, passed away on Sunday morning at home.

She was a graduate of Hazel Green High School and worked in civil service on Redstone Arsenal for many years and was also employed by Lite 96.9, formerly Beautiful 97.   She was a Christian and had been a member of the Church of the Nativity.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Leon Hofues;  By her daughter, Rachel Wells Hofues Armstrong;  Her parents, William Reese Wells & Roberta Adella Anderson Wells. Her brothers: Perry (Bertha) Wells, Arthur Wells, Joe (Willene) Wells, David Wells, Charles (Marie) Wells, and sister, Telette (A.L.) Graves.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Norman;  Her son, John William “Bill” Hofues; Her step-children: Marjorie Hofues and Lillian Hofues Kinnebrew; Her grandchildren: Jonathan Bryant Wood, James Tyler Nye, Rachel Kathryn Parmer, John Allen Lynn Norman;  Her great-grandson, Jaiden Lee Neal Trehern. Her brother, Robert “Bob” Wells and his wife, Catherine;  Her sister-in-law, Lovell Wells.  She is also survived by numerous friends, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at a future date.
