Nancy Frances (Dunn) Rye, age 85, of Moulton, died Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Lawrence Medical Center. Her family may host a celebration of life at a later date. Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Ms. Rye was born June 6, 1938, in Alabama to Theodore and Johnnie Dunn. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Gail Colwell; her parents; three brothers, Jay Dunn, Jimmy Dunn, and Bill Standridge (Pam); and one sister, Faye Collins. She was a public school system bus driver. Her canine fur baby and best friend, Bella, will be lost without her.
She is survived by her son, James Edward Dunn; daughter, Teri Lynne El-Nahas (Mohamed); brother, Jimmy Dunn; nine grandchildren, Joseph El-Nahas (Amanda), Shadia El-Nahas, Samia Richmond (Antonio), April Knighten, Michael Colwell, Tina Colwell (James), Matthew Colwell, Mindi Hitt (Michael), and Samantha Dunn; and a host of great-grandchildren.
