Nancy F. Souders, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on July 15, 1944, to the late Prentice Earl and Flaye Electa Kiser Moore.
She was lovingly united in marriage with Ralph Souders on November 2, 1979, sharing a life that was filled with love and devotion until his passing on March 10, 2011.
Nancy was the embodiment of a loving homemaker and talented cook, whose culinary delights were cherished by her family. She created coconut delight cakes, chocolate gravy, and homemade biscuits that paired perfectly with Ramer sausage. Alongside her kitchen creations, Nancy had a passion for sewing and traveling, and she never turned down an invitation for fried fish.
As a devoted mother, Nancy instilled a sense of love and care in her children, ensuring they always felt supported and cherished. Her unwavering faith shone through her membership at Faith Baptist Church in Selmer, where she nurtured her spiritual life and that of her family.
On November 27, 2024, Nancy departed this life in Fort Myers, Florida, at the age of 80. She leaves behind a loving legacy, remembered fondly by her daughter, Lea Ann Stutts and husband Darrell of North Fort Myers, FL; her sons, Scott Jones of Selmer, TN, and Anthony Jones and wife Margaret of Chickamauga, GA; her stepsons, Robby Souders and Will Souders, both of Ramer, TN; her sister, Jane Taylor of Selmer, TN, and brothers Billy Moore and wife Sue of Purdy, TN, Jimmy Moore and wife Denise of Selmer, TN, and Roy Neal Moore of Lexington, TN.
Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her eleven grandchildren—Kara Sloan and husband Curtis, Kacie Finley and wife Holly, Allie Payne, Tj Neece and wife Harley, Emily Whittemore and husband Matt, Lori Stutts, Davey Stutts, Matthew Jones and fiancé Lexie Segari, Josh, Jacob, and Lily Ann Souders; six great-grandchildren—Oliver Jones, Nora, and Layton Sloan, Caraline, Haylee, and Karley Whittemore. Nancy also leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends who will remember her warmth and kindness.
In addition to her beloved Ralph and parents, Nancy was preceded in death by two sisters, Mattie Griffin and Lynda Meadows, and a brother, Troy Moore.
