Nancy Christine Johnson of Hughes, AR, formerly of McNairy County, was born March 15, 1941 in Salem, AL, the daughter of the late James Samuel Moss and Rosie Amerson Moss.
Mrs. Johnson was a Seamstress having worked for several garment industries during her lifetime. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her talent was exhibited in the many beautiful quilts that she made. She lived in McNairy County for 30 years prior to moving to Hughes, AR 8 years ago to live with her son. Mrs. Johnson was a member of First Baptist Church in Hughes, AR and attended Selmer Second Baptist Church prior to moving to Hughes. She departed this life on March 8, 2018 in Memphis at the age of 76 Years, 11 Months, 21 Days.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Doyle Sirten of Hughes, AR; five grandchildren, Thomas Doyle Sirten Jr., Robin Sirten, Samantha Christine Sirten Hall, William Hunter Sirten, Crystal Sirten; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Robert Dean Sirten. She was also preceded by all of her siblings and former husband Thomas Harry Sirten
