Nancy Carolyn Grisham Melton, age 80 of Jackson, passed away on March 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
Carolyn was born on November 10, 1942 in Beech Bluff, TN to the late John Elvis and Lee Helen Barnes Grisham. She was a secretary most of her career for the TN Department of Human Services and later for the family business, Melton Sawmill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Brian Melton.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Melton; children, James Jeffrey Melton (Shari), Paula Karen Melton Burks, and John Douglas Melton (Sherry); grandchildren, Amber Melton, Ashley Melton, Traci Vandiver, William Allen Boone, Edward Melton (Danielle), and Audri Trevino; seven great grandchildren; and her brother, Larry Grisham.
Graveside services for Mrs. Melton will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:00 am at Beech Bluff Cemetery with Pastor Cliff Walker officiating. Burial will follow the service.
