Nancy Burgett Garris, age 71 of Athens, AL passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Garris was born on June 29, 1946 in Limestone County to Clyde and Dorothy Burgett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clyde DeShon Burgett and brother-in-law Julian Tyler.
Mrs. Garris is survived by her husband, John William Garris; sisters, Juanita Burgett Tyler of Athens, AL, Joan Burgett Carnevale (Franz) of Hattiesburg, MS and Marcella Burgett Eastep (Joel) of Athens, AL; caretakers, Jayne Mankin, Shannon Sims and Marie Coffman; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Services for Mrs. Garris will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 30, 2017 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Terry officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 prior to the service. The burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
