Nancy Ann Brazelton (Jester), aged 86, passed away on August 30, 2024, in Huntsville, Alabama. Born on April 6, 1938, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, She made her home in Madison, AL and worked at Redstone Arsenal as an administrative assistance from high school through retirement after 40 yeras. Nancy lived a life marked by generosity and deep familial bonds. She was revered as the matriarch of her family, nurturing six living generations with her kindness and resilience. Nancy’s life was a testament to selflessness. Her unwavering support and love for her family and friends left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be remembered not only for her devotion and love but also for the virtues she instilled in her descendants.
Nancy’s legacy is carried on by her daughter, Leslie Brazelton and son-in-law, Larry Gaylor; grandchildren, Sabrina Austin and Zachary Gaylor; great-grandchildren, Breanna Austin, Blake Lamb, and Mason Gaylor; and great-great-grandchildren, Dastin Austin and Xadyn Austin. She is survived by sisters Etha Jean Jester Moses and Vernell Jester Lewter Pressnell and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Lynn Brazelton, and daughter Lora Gaylor. parents,Carl and Viola Stevenson, and sisters Magaline Jester Boggs Martin, Florence Jester Johnson, Carleen Jester Abbott, Wilson Thomas (W.T.) Jester, Betty Jo Jester, and Martha Jester Burch.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7th, from 1:00-2:00 P.M., with a 2:00 P.M. service at Berryhill Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Nancy’s life will be celebrated and remembered by all who were touched by her warmth and compassion.
