Nadine Newman Fambrough, 85, of Albertville, AL, went to heaven, Tuesday, 20-February-2024.
She was born, 21-May-1938, the eldest child of the late Jesse Lee Newman and Pauline Mary Jane Hilton Newman, and became a born again Christian, Father’s Day, 19-June-1949. She faithfully served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for 74 3/4 years. Nadine served various churches in roles ranging from director of WMU, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School director, church pianist, church organist, and other roles. She was currently a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Horton, AL.
Christmas,1957, Nadine met Jack Anderson Fambrough, whom she married, Easter Sunday, 6-April-1958. They were married 55 1/2 years, until his death, 15-September-2013. Nadine was a devoted wife and awesome mother, and she and Jack were the proud parents of Mark Anderson Fambrough and David Glenn Fambrough (Sandra Kay Payne Fambrough).
Besides her parents and husband, Nadine was preceded in death by her brother, David Lee Newman. She is survived by her sons, daughter-in-law, her devoted sister, Kathleen Newman Crabb, sister-in-law, Ruby Shoemaker, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and best friend, Mary Sue Fleming.
Albertville Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. with a graveside service immediately following at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Aroney, AL, officiated by the Revs. Morris Stephens and David Fambrough. Pallbearers will be Mark Fambrough, David Fambrough, James Colton, Mark Whittington, Jamie Brothers and Bob Duckett.
