Myrtle Marie Fleming – Obituary

Myrtle Marie Fleming found her rest on Sunday, May 24, 2015, in her home, surrounded by loved ones – just as she spent much of her life. She joins her sweetheart, Wallace Almon Fleming, parents, Claud and Bertha Reeves, grand-baby Timothy Mark Gentle, Jr., four siblings, and many dear friends.

In Marie’s 84 years, she was held in highest regard by all who knew her. She was ever devoted to her family and in service to Westside and Central Heights Churches of Christ. She was known by her Christian example, respected for her strength of character, and celebrated for her home cooking. Marie will forever be lauded as beloved wife, mother, Granny, sister, teacher, and friend.

She is survived by children, Steve Fleming, Rhonda (Tim) Gentle, Dena (Keith) McClure; grandchildren, Missy Gentle, Emily Wenning, Lyndsie McClure, Lauren Mansell; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Carol Suttles, Joyce Johnson, Loretta Potter, Danny Reeves, Anita Turner; cousin and caretaker Barbara Cartee.

Services will be conducted at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Visitation will be held from 6pm-9pm, Monday, May 25. Funeral service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Brother Miles Stutts will preside.

Pall Bearers will be Will Warren, Bryan Murner, Dusty Adkins, John Kimbrough, Jamie Richards, John McClure, Ricky Bryant and Ricky Wagnon.
