Myron Joe Sizemore, 60, of Muscle Shoals, passed away at home on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, of an apparent heart attack. He was born in Leighton, Ala., on Feb. 18, 1952. Joe attended Muscle Shoals Elementary and High School and went on to study at the University of North Alabama. He never married and lived at home with his parents, Lee and Dorothy Sizemore, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by a brother, Roger Lee Sizemore, of Chiang Mai, Thailand; his sister, Linda Faye McMullan, of Atlanta, Ga.; his niece, Megan Clark, of Decatur, Ga.; and his nephew, Casey Sizemore, also of Decatur.
Graveside services will be on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, in Glendale Cemetery.
Stricken with Juvenile (Type 1) diabetes as a small child, Joe worked his entire life to control his disease.
It is a certainty that he, along with his surviving family members, would like to extend grateful thanks to the emergency personnel, doctors and nurses who responded swiftly and competently every time he called on them for help throughtout his life.
