Myra Sue Jones Quarles, 90, passed into heavenly life February 08, 2018 surrounded be her children at Desoto Health Care in Southaven, MS. Born January 20, 1928 to Thomas Ivy Jones and Cynthia Jane Henderson Jones in Tula, MS. She loved gardening and canning everything she grew. Sue was a wonderful cook and if you went into her home you ate. She loved watching her birds and squirrels and she loved all her pets.
A service celebrating her life will be held 2PM Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Tim Cox officiating. Graveside service will follow at 4PM at New El Bethel Cemetery in Lafayette County. Visitation will be Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 12:30 PM till service time only at Holland-Tupelo Chapel.
She leaves behind her children to cherish her many memories, Barbara Bishop, Tommy Quarles (Kathy), Bonita Jay, and Karen Cox (Tim). Nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband G. W. Quarles; sisters, Martha Lynn Smothers, and husband Travis, Ann Brownlee, brother, Keith Jones and wife Vernarose, her son-in-laws, Dillian Bishop, Richard Jay, and her grandson Ivy Bishop.
