Frederick Dion Bailey
TUSCUMBIA-Frederick Dion Bailey, 46 walked into the Colbert County Courthouse and announced to deputies there he had killed his father and was turning himself in.
According to Colbert County Police Chief Frank Williamson Bailey, who lives in the 300 block of Markate Avenue in Muscle Shoals said he went to his fathers home on Airline Street in Muscle Shoals where he pulled his father from a truck and kicked and stomped him well over 200 times. He said “I knew he was dead and I accept full responsibility”.
Baileys father survived the attack, but was injured enough to be taken to Shoals Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. While at the hospital Bailey’s father told deputies his son pulled him from the truck and started kicking him in the head. Bailey also told deputies there was no way he could defend himself from his son.
As Bailey was being booked into the Colbert County Jail on an Attempted Murder charge with a bond of $5oo,oo he told authorities he hoped his father died and if he saw his father or any of his family members he would kill them.
