“Local Law Enforcement Agencies working together to keep our streets and community safe.
The Muscle Shoals Police Department and The Colbert County Drug Task Force joined together this week in an effort to combat dangerous drugs in our community.
On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, Muscle Shoals Police Officers with the Day Shift-A Patrol Division were investigating a possible burglary at a residence on Edison Ave in Muscle Shoals.
While speaking with a possible suspect of the burglary, Officers discovered the suspect to be in possession of a total of 2 ounces of crack cocaine and powder cocaine; with an approximate street value of $4,000. The suspect was identified as 64 year old, Stephen Darnell Cain of Muscle Shoals. The Colbert County Drug Task Force was notified to help continue the investigation.
The ongoing investigation into Cain’s drug activity lead Muscle Shoals Police Officers and Agents with the Colbert County Drug Task Force to a local storage unit inside the city limits of Muscle Shoals. Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Muscle Shoals Police K-9, BANE, Officers and Agents were able to obtain a search warrant for one of the storage units. The execution of that search warrant resulted in the following:
*30 Ounces of Cocaine (Street Value $58,000)

The efforts of this joint drug investigation between MSPD and CCDTF has helped take dangerous drugs out of our community.
