Multi-Vehicle Accident Takes Life Of Arley Man

HANCEVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a multi-vehicle accident near Hanceville that has taken the life of one person and sent another to hospital with injuries:

“A multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:10 a.m. Monday, October 21, has claimed the life of an Arley man.

Chadrick D. Kilpatrick, 51, was fatally injured when the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer that he was driving struck the 2023 Mack tractor-trailer driven by Raymond B. Butts II, 44, of Vinemont. After the initial impact, the Chevrolet then struck the 2024 Ford Bronco driven by Roger D. Harris, 62, of Arab. The tractor-trailer left the roadway, caught fire and became completely engulfed in flames. The Ford also left the roadway and overtured in a ditch.

Kilpatrick was pronounced deceased at the scene. Harris was injured and transported to the Cullman Regional Medical Center (CRMC) for treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama 91 near Cullman County 783, approximately five miles east of the Hanceville city limits, in Cullman County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
