RUSSELLVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a multi-vehicle accident that has take the life of a MOulton man and sent four other people to hospital, including a 13-year-old:
“A multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:25 a.m. Saturday, September 20, has claimed the life of a Moulton man.
Bobby L. Hodge, 23, was fatally injured when the 2013 Mercedes C-Class that he was driving was struck by a 2022 Ford F150 driven by Phillip E. Wesson III, 39, of Hamilton. After the initial impact, the Mercedes and the Ford both struck a 2006 Chevrolet pickup driven by Barry K. McAfee, 60, of Russellville. As a result of the impact, the Mercedes and the Ford overturned. Hodge was not using a seat belt at the time of crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene of crash.
Wesson was also injured and transported to Helen Keller Hospital for treatment. Pamala P. Wesson, 42, of, Hamilton, a passenger of the Ford, was injured and transported to Helen Keller Hospital for treatment. A 13-year-old passenger of the Ford was also injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Two passengers of the Chevrolet, Barry K. McAffee, 60 and Yalonda K. McAfee, 59, both of Russellville, were also injured and transported to Helen Keller Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 24 near Franklin County 99, approximately 10 miles east of Russellville, in Franklin County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
