Mt. Hope Man Dead After Two-Vehicle Accident Near Moulton

MOULTON-On Friday, July 5 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident near Moulton that has taken the life of one person:

 “A two-vehicle crash at 2:50 p.m. on Friday,  July 5, 2019, has claimed the life of a Mt. Hope man.

Joel Grant Coan, 54, was killed when the 1987 Toyota pickup he was driving was struck by a tractor trailer while crossing Alabama Highway 24.  Coan was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at the intersection of Alabama Highway 24 and County Road 50 in Lawrence County,  9 miles west of Moulton.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
