Motorcycle Crash Takes Life Of Jasper Man

BREMAN-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident, involving motorcycles has taken the life of a Jasper man:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:33 p.m. Saturday, September 28, has claimed the life of a Jasper man.

Gary A. Decatur, 45, was fatally injured when he was thrown from the 2005 Honda VT750 Shadow Aero motorcycle he was operating and was struck by the 2022 Honda CRV driven by Shawn M. Hatcher, 26, of Birmingham. Decatur was not using a helmet at the time of the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Cullman County 222, approximately seven miles west of Breman, in Cullman County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
