Mother Arrested After New Born Tested Positive For Drugs

FLORENCE-A new mother is in jail after giving birth to a baby who tested positive for drugs.  Here is how the Florence Police describe events leading up to the arrest of the suspect:

“Tosha J Ward, 38 of Florence, was arrested yesterday and charged with Exposing Children to Narcotics. Ward gave birth to a child and both tested positive for having cocaine in their system. Ward is currently confined on a $5,000 bond. ***All Subjects are Innocent Until Proven Guilty***”
