Morton Wayne Rudd Jr. of Pulaski, TN passed away on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born in Tullahoma, TN on June 7th, 1968 and was 55 years old.
Wayne was a loving father, son, and brother. Most of his joy came from his family. Wayne also loved spending time at the beach with his family. He worked at Nissan for over 10 years, and was a Giles County Sheriffs Deputy. Wayne enjoyed outrunning the police until he became one. He also enjoyed riding four wheelers, loved cars, and was crafty with his hands. He continued to work up until the end of 2022. He was a Christian man of the Church of Christ faith. Wayne was very strong willed. He fought a very courageous 6-year battle with cancer with no complaints. He was quick witted, always had someone laughing, and always had a smile on his face.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6th, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The burial will take place at Giles Memory Gardens in Pulaski, TN
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or The Giles County Humane Association 113 N 1st Street Pulaski, TN 38478.
Wayne was preceded in death by, his grandparents, Andrew “Jelly” and Lilla Mae Russell, Charles and Mildred Rudd, and Uncle, David McDonald.
