MORGAN COUNTY-Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin released a statement concerning the Morgan County Sheriff’s Special Victims unit on Monday, August

“The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit is now part of the Alabama Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. ICAC is part of a State and Federal initiative to monitor and detect internet crimes involving children. With the rapidly growing technology, children are easily being preyed upon by child predators without the children knowing. ICAC has the tools to proactively stop these predators before our children become a victim of a violent sexual assault. It is encouraged to remind children to not trust the pictures that appear on social media profiles. If the child does not know the name and face on these profiles, do not allow any permissions to view or follow the child.”
