Morgan County Deputies Arrest Burglary Suspect

FALKVILLE-The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement concerning a suspect who had barricaded himself in a home after an attempted robbery:
“On June 30, 2024 Deputies responded to a report of a home invasion on A. Grant Rd near Falkville.
On July 1, 2024, Deputies were notified of the suspect’s whereabouts and responded to a home on A. Grant Rd near Falkville.
Once on scene, the suspect failed to exit the residence. Deputies secured the perimeter as Negotiators on scene began attempting to communicate.
Negotiators were able to have the suspect exit the residence without incident.
Investigators charged Jesse Lee Adkins, 42 of Falkville, was arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd degree. Bond 35,000.00
Arrests are public information. Any indication of an individual’s arrest does not imply they were convicted of a crime. All subjects are presumed innocent in a court of law.
Bond, if applicable, is set by the courts using the bond schedule passed by the State Legislature.”
