SHEFFIELD-Tennessee Valley Art Association–which runs The Ritz and the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art has issued a statement concerning the cancellation of the last two performances of Moon Over Buffalo at the Ritz:

“We are heartbroken to announce that we must cancel the last two performances of Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo, which were scheduled for Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18. Unfortunately, there has been COVID exposure among the members of our production. It is our responsibility to ensure everyone is safe, including our community. We thank you all for your understanding and support. If you’ve already purchased tickets, we will be reaching out about refunds in the next couple of days.

Having to cancel performances when we have already incurred production costs is devastating to our recovery efforts. For the last two years, the Tennessee Valley Art Association–which runs The Ritz and the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art–has been steadfast in our efforts to offer arts experiences in the safest, lowest-risk environments possible.

If you believe in the importance of the arts and support our commitment to keeping our artists and patrons safe, please consider donating or becoming a member of the TVAA. Your support is vital to the recovery of our organization, which has provided arts experiences and education in the Tennessee Valley for over 50 years.
