Montez Moore was born August 17, 1926 in Banner, MS, the daughter of the late Herbert Woodall and Emma Bell Vaughn Woodall.
Mrs. Moore was united in marriage to Earl Moore on December 23, 1944. Mr. Moore preceded her in death on October 2, 1995. She was Baptist in faith, She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and her children say she was the best cook in the world. Montez would say the worse place in the world to be is between her and her kids.
She is survived by her children: Dorothy Moore of Stantonville, TN, Legatha Moore of Stantonville, TN, Martha Burks and husband Robert of Counce, TN, Edward Moore and wife Linda of Stantonville, TN; sister, Inez Miller of Pope, MS; two grandchildren, Jennifer Burks and companion Casey Pinson of Savannah, TN, Jonathan Moore and wife Misty of Stantonville, TN; step grandchild, James Baker of Bethel Springs, TN; five great grandchildren: Jett Moore, Levi Moore, Bailey Brown, Caley Pinson and Josh Burks.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a sister: Mattie Smith.
