  Obituary of Monroe Kenneth BevilMonroe Kenneth Bevil, 85, of Rogersville, AL; passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at NHC Healthcare.

Mr. Bevil was born July 29, 1938 in Limestone County, AL to Jasper Monroe Bevil and Zeola Buckelew Carter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Chase Springer, one sister Patricia Clem, one brother Steve Bevil.

Mr. Bevil was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army for 8 years. Mr. Bevil was a self-employed truck driver from coast to coast, Deputy Sheriff of Limestone County, AL and Giles County, TN; police officer in Elkmont, AL. He owned S&K furniture in Rogersville for 10 years.

Survivors include his two daughters Betty McConnell (Ted) of Moulton, Carol Raney (Mike) of Muscle Shoals, two sons Kent Bevil (Vicki) of Athens; and Chris Bevil (Carol Ann) of Birmingham; three brothers Donald Carter (Linda) of Athens, Gene Bevil (Barbara) and Jerry Bevil (Dianna), Special Aunt Yvonne Clem (Fred) of Athens; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.

The Funeral service will be Sunday, February 18, 2024 at McConnell Memorial Chapel at 2 P.M., with Brother Lee Michael officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 12-2 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be T.J. McConnell, Trey McConnell, Allan Priest, Michael Raney, Keeton Hutto, Grant Raney, and William Bevil.
