Monnie Cleo Mathis, 76 of Huntsville, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2022.
Mrs. Mathis is survived by her husband Daniel E. Mathis; her daughter, April Rene Mewborn; her granddaughter, Shelby Alice Nixon; her sisters, Mildred Jo Locke and Mozell C. Thomas; her brother, Jimmy Shelton (Georgette); her sister-in-law, Vivian Dugan;and her dog Bubba.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mable Shelton; her daughter, Angela Michelle Mathis; her granddaughter, Ashley Grace Reed; and her brothers, Howard and Ronnie Shelton.
Mrs. Mathis was a native of Madison County and a resident of Huntsville since 2005. She was also a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Mathis enjoyed every minute of her life. She was always laughing and having a great time. She will be truly missed.
Receiving of friends will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Berryhill Funeral Home.
