THE SHOALS – Monday night was a hot and sweaty evening in this part of the Deep South. If you were walking down by the majestic Tennessee River, or along historic Mobile Street, if you closed your eyes you could imagine being in The Delta, or New Orleans. And with the sweet sound of music wafting through the night air, well… it wouldn’t be hard to suspend your disbelief.
That is exactly what happened to hundreds of Festival goers Monday night. For a few dozen more, they strolled into a sushi bar. And there, mixed in with wasabi and California rolls, was music as well.
The Quad-Cities Daily was on hand to capture in photos some of the happenings.
First up, was Icheban in Sheffield, featuring Russell Mefford, Jimmy Nutt and Mitch Mann. On Mobile Street was C.C. Jags of Muscle Shoals with some great covers. And lastly, in Sheffield’s beautiful Riverfront Park, we caught the second act, The Josh Brannon Band.
