Mollie Sue Jones age 88 of Guntersville passed away Saturday June 19, 2021 at Marshall Manor. Mrs. Jones grew up in Prattville Alabama, She graduated from Autauga County High School in Prattville Alabama, and Graduated Auburn University in 1956. Later she received her Masters Degree from Mississippi University for Women. Mrs. Jones taught school for a number of years and she served as a Sunday school teacher until she was 70 years old. She was a faithful Godly women and mother of 3.
She is survived by her husband: Freddy Jones, Son: David Jones (Julie), Daughter: Carol Herndon, Daughter: Nancy Smith (David), Brother: Joe Murphree (Christine) Grandchildren: Sarah, Sam, Melissa, Keith, Laura, Will, Andrew, Callie and Nathan. Great Grandchildren: 6
Preceded in death by her parents: Eony and Elma Murphree, Brothers: James R. Murphree and Jerry E. Murphree
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Guntersville Memorial Chapel from 1:00pm until 2:00 pm with a Memorial Service following at 2:00pm
