Mitzie Lee Butler Whitehouse, 66, of Rogersville, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022. She was a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-7 at Rogersville Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Happy Valley Baptist Church. The burial will be in Belew Cemetery. Andy Corbett and Rod will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Scotty Butler, Brandon Terry, Jacob Terry, Doug Hice, Harold Kirby and Justin Carroll.
Mizie was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Gladys Butler; brother, Mike Butler; nephew, Jeff Couch. She is survived by her husband, Bill Whitehouse; children, Tonia (Ricky) Terry, Derek (Heather) Murphy, Chasity (Harold) Kirby, Jeremy Whitehouse; grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Lane and Caleb; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Asher; siblings, Morris Butler, Marcell (James) Couch, Danny Butler and Pam (Dennis) Nichols.
The family would like to extend a special ‘thank you’ to Inhabit Hospice for their care for Mrs. Whitehouse over the past year.
