Mittie Fay Sartain, 85, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 in Indiana. She was born in Prentiss County, MS to Ted and Fay Ivy Gentry and was a seamstress. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy, Red Bay, AL.
Services will be Friday, March 1, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Mark Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Billy P. Sartain; daughter, Donna Hart (Carl); step-daughters, Pam Cutshall (Charlie) and Melanie Brinkley (Frank); grandchildren, Ryan Begg (Steve) and Brandon Hart; great-grandson, Liam Begg and sister, Betty Tennison.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Rosser and siblings, Margie O’Rear, Opal Taylor, Dorothy Bailey and Wade Gentry.
Pallbearers will be Carl Hart, Frank Brinkley, Brandon Hart, Jack O’Rear, Steve Taylor and Randy Taylor.
Visitation will be Friday, March 1, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
