Mitchell Delaine Matthews, 53, of Pontotoc, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at his residence. He attended South Pontotoc School and was fond of fishing and arguing.
He leaves behind his daughter, Cheyenne Burleson (Peyton) of Blue Springs, MS; granddaughter, Presephane Grace Burleson; and two sisters, Mendy Michelle Trest (Steve) of Amory and Merissa Williams (Michael) of Pontotoc.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, his father Delaine Matthews, his mother Wilma Matthews, and his wife Katrina Matthews.
The funeral service is scheduled for 2 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, officiated by Bro. Greg Herndon. Visitation will start at 12 PM, followed by burial at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Brad Dowdy, Tyler Dowdy, Bryan Hamblin, Brent Galabiz, Scotty Matthews, and Brent McCreight.
