Misty Jean Hayes, 46, passed away on August 25, 2022, at her home in Jacksonville. She was a graduate of White Plains High School and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 24 years. Misty started her career in 1998 at Piedmont Healthcare Center followed by Jacksonville Health and Rehab later in her career. She then worked for Jacksonville Hospital and Stringfellow Memorial Hospital where she worked as a patient care technician on the detox until which she loved dearly. For the past eight months, she worked for Southern Care New Beacon Hospice as a bath aide. She loved every minute of getting to take care of her patients. Misty loved to take care of people. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Langley; her nephew, Eric Parris; and grandparents, Melvin and Minnie Brown, and Clyde and Quindaleen Langley.
Misty is survived by her husband of 16 years, Eric Hayes; mother, Bonnie Langley Bell; children, Katlin Cochran (Jacob), Ashley Cochran and Jeremy Hayes; grandchildren, Addison Anderson and Ryleigh Anderson; sister, Kimberly Parris (Greg); and niece, Hayley Parris.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at First Baptist Church of White Plains with Brother Eric Snider officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM.
