MUSCLE SHOALS – Colbert County Sheriff’s Department was contacted this morning by an individual claiming he had reason to believe a Shoals area woman was killed by her boyfriend.
The search is underway for the missing woman, the anonymous caller told police about a domestic altercation but police are still unsure as to what happened.
Once a description of the mans vehicle was received, they spotted the man on Second Street. Muscle Shoals police stopped the vehicle just after 9:30 a.m. today. The 34-year-old was taken into custody after police found blood in the truck. The truck has been impounded.
Investigators have spoken to the man, but no charges have been filed at this time. He is being held until the woman is found or until other information arises from the investigation.
