Miriam “Merry” Nadine Rogers

Mrs. Miriam “Merry” Nadine Rogers, age 71, of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Rogers was born December 31, 1948, in Columbus, MS, to the late T.J. and Adine Eskridge.  She was a member of the Vernon First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was church secretary.  She also owned and operated Rogers Feed and Seed with her husband.  Mrs. Rogers was also a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to everyone she met.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Raybon Rogers.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 at the Vernon First United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday 2:00-3:00 at the church prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, James Rogers, of Vernon, AL; two sons, Chris (Christy) Rogers and Chad (Keri) Rogers, both of Vernon, AL; four grandchildren, Ric and Cammie Rogers and Katie Grace and Lyla Rogers; one brother, Tommy (Connie) Eskridge of Vernon, AL; one sister, Joyce Anne (Carl Ray) Woods of Vernon, AL; her mother-in-law, Nell Rogers; and a host of nieces and nephews.
