Jane Ford Pearson Miriam Jane Ford Pearson, 86, of Gurley, Alabama passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Ross V. Ford and Ruth Graham Ford; and sister, Eleanor Ann Ford Crumpler. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Calvin Pearson; sister, Betty Ford Burkett; her children, Martha ‘Marti’ Pearson Stone (Anthony), and James C. Pearson, Jr. (Ginger); grandchildren, Julia Stone Easton (Jamie), Mary Scott Pearson, James Calvin Pearson III; and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Claire Easton.
Jane graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Education. Jane’s influence as a teacher in Madison County for over 33 years impacted many lives. She loved her teaching career and held many fond memories of her years at Madison County High School and Central School. Her passions included family, Gurley, Auburn, and teaching. She dearly loved the Gurley Cumberland Presbyterian church family. She loved music and played violin. She had great joy from seeing her students. She loved to cook, sew, and play with her grandchildren.
She received wonderful love and care from Inisclee’s In-home Care in her last years.
There will be a private family service. Memorials may be made to Gurley Cumberland Presbyterian Church or Central School Library.
