Widner, Milton Ray age 80 of Cullman, died Monday, March 25, 2024.

Fishing was Milton’s passion. In his early years you could catch him hunting quail, dove, squirrel and even occasionally a raccoon. Milton was a crane operator for Apel Machine and Supply. He retired from Apel Steel at the age of 59.

Milton was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He was preceded in death by: his parents Oather “Buck” and Myrtis Reynolds Widner; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Widner; and a brother, Wayne Widner.

Milton is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Joyce Westmoreland Widner; children: Steve Widner (Jae), Denise Widner York (Rodney), and Alan Widner (Angie); grandchildren: Zach Widner (Kaci), Jorden York, Jesse Widner (Kyndall); great grandchild, Case Widner; sister, Debbie Widner Watters (Joey) and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the celebration of Milton’s life which will begin at 1:00 PM at Moss Service funeral home. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
