Funeral service for Milton Ray “Bud” Kirby, 82, of Danville will be Monday, December 9, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Salter and Rev. Forrest Long officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Kirby died on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born July 1, 1931 in Morgan County to Carl and Mable Kirby. Mr. Kirby was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jean Kirby, an infant son David Kirby, two brothers, Malcolm Kirby and Sherman Kirby and his parents.
Mr. Kirby was retired from Montsanto and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a cattle farmer and a member of the Morgan County Cattlemen’s Association. Mr. Kirby was a member of Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church and a little league baseball coach and umpire.

Barry Kirby (Laura) of Opelika, AL
Carlton Kirby (Paul) of Atlanta, GA

One Daughter:
Ralene Gillespie of Trinity, AL

One Brother:
Kyle Kirby (Dorothy) of Hartselle

Two Sisters:
Ruby Story (J.T.) of Hartselle
Shirley Standridge (Kenneth) of Danville

Sisters In-Law:
Katie Kirby of Danville
Ann Kirby of Hartselle

Special Friend:
Betty Roberts

Eight Grandchildren

Five Great-Grandchildren

A host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
