Milton M. “Buddy” Malone, 79, of Cherokee, Ala., passed away Oct. 9, 2012, after an extended illness. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, from
6-8 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Harris Chapel Baptist Church. The body will lie-in-state for one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Harris Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Wynona Jane Bozeman Malone; and siblings, Wanda Holland and Monroe Belue.
Survivors include sons, Steve Malone (Leslie), Rusty Malone (Leigh) and Mike Malone (Melinda);
siblings, Bernice Cornelius, Shirley Helton, Dwight Malone, Grover Malone and Gene Malone;
grandchildren, Ashley Tubbs, Drew Malone, Brittany Newsom, Allie McNabb, Clint Malone, Clay Malone and Emily Malone;
stepgrandchildren, Christopher Gasque, Wesley Gasque and Lauren Gasque;
great-grandchildren, Lizzie Newsom and Paisley Tubb.
Pallbearers are Andrew Malone, Bryan McNabb, Chad Newsom, Clint Malone, Clay Malone and Zac Tubbs. Honorary pallbearers are Dwight Malone, Grover Malone, Gene Malone, Paul Moore, Christopher Gasque and Wesley Gasque.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad.
