Miller Kyle Parker – Obituary

Miller Kyle Parker, age 93, of Muscle Shoals, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2014.

His graveside service will be Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Providence Cemetery.

Mr. Parker was a native of Lawrence County, a World War II veteran and was a retired lineman electrician with the Florence Utilities Deptartment. He was a member of IBEW Local No. 558 and was preceded in death by his sisters, Berdie Carpenter and Vergie Montgomery, and brothers, Russell, Sanford, and Harvey Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Frances Searcy Parker, of Muscle Shoals; sons, Kyle Payton Parker and wife, Linda, Reginald Guin Parker and wife, Janice, and Ronald Niles Parker and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Wayne Parker, Laura King, Lee Parker, Kim Burnett, Brad Parker, and Brandy Trapp; nine great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild.

Pallbearers are Brad Parker, Lee Parker, Wayne Parker, Jordan Hooks, Garrett Burnett, and Kendall Trapp.

Special thanks from the family are extended to Buddy Gulley and Mark Kimbrough, Southern Care Hospice, and caregivers, Vanessa Keenum and Jennifer Collett.
