Funeral services for Millard McRae Fowler, 95 of Corinth are set for Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 11am at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST with interment in Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 9am -11 am at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST. Rev. Daniel Jones and Rev. Kenneth Corley will officiate the service. His 8 grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. McRae was born April 1, 1929 to Friley and Augie Fowler and he passed away August 3, 2024 at Dogwood Assisted Living. He married Inez Cornelius on February 28,1948. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. After he returned from the war he worked for the Chevrolet Dealership until he opened Fowler’s Garage in February 1956. He operated Fowler’s Garage for over 36 years until he closed it in October 1992. McRae was an active member of Tate Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 25 years. He was a member of Gideon International for many years and distributed Bibles to schools and prisons throughout the state of Mississippi. McRae leaves behind his four children, Lanny Fowler, Ronnie (Debbie) Fowler, Charles (Sandra) Fowler, and Nancy (Ron) Burns; 8 grandchildren, Chad (Gwen ) Fowler, Riley (Alissa) Fowler, Brad Fowler, Jake (Blakley) Fowler, Anna (Justin) Mullins, Nick (Alex) Burns, Sarah (Bryan) Doss, and Trevor Burns;9 great grandchildren, Austin Fowler, Ella Fowler, Madison Fowler, Riley Cate Fowler, Mac Fowler, Nyles Fowler, Charlie Mullins, Lucy Mullins and Fowler Doss; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Inez Cornelius Fowler in 1998. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Friley and Augie Fowler; his 11 brothers and sisters, Ester Lee Fowler, Lilly Mae Smith, Hunter Fowler, Sue Gulledge, Buster Fowler, Elnor Choate, Marie Barnes, Jack Fowler, Winfred Fowler, and George Fowler.
