Miles “Mack” Scott, 88, husband of Mary Cothran Scott and resident of the Sandy Hook community, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Maury Regional Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born and raised in the Hampshire community to the late Porter Bryan and Nina Dunn Scott and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served our country as a member of the H&S Company, U.S. Army 18th Engineering Battalion. He was a retired farmer and drove a Maury County school bus for 29 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Cothran Scott, his daughters, Kay (Steve) Renfro of Mt. Pleasant, Donna (Billy) Sexton of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Renfro of Mt. Pleasant, Jill (Travis) Quillen of Athens, AL, Daniel (Sabrina) Sexton of Mt. Pleasant, great grandchildren, Nicklas Renfro of Mt. Pleasant, Jenna Renfro of Mt. Pleasant, Riley Sexton of Mt. Pleasant, Danica Sexton of Mt. Pleasant, and sister, Grace Farris of Columbia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Frances Scott, and three brothers, Floyd Scott, Cecil Scott, and Jimmy Scott. A private family service was held on February 25, 2022 at Arlington Cemetery in MT Pleasant, Tennessee.
