Miles Denzel Lateef Stevenson departed this life at 12:21 p.m. on Thursday December 22nd, 2022 in Columbus, GA.

Miles was born on July 9th, 1991 in Decatur, AL. He was the youngest of four children, born to John and Carolyn Murray Stevenson. Miles accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church.

After graduating from Decatur High School in 2009, he went on to study at The University of Alabama Huntsville where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
He was a highly intelligent and ambitious young man who loved reading and had an endless passion for learning new things. He dedicated his entire career to software development, coding, consulting and cyber security with various jobs including the federal government.

While Miles was a private person, he had an intriguing personality and a love for his family. He genuinely loved learning about a vast variety of subjects spanning from law, Judaism, African American studies, personal finance, theory, civilization, to complex computer algorithms and the list goes on. He also had a special interest in investing and trading in crypto currency as well as a love for the outdoors and jazz music.

Miles was a proud uncle and was very fond of his nieces and nephews so much that he aspired to have a large family of his own. He later moved to Columbus, GA in April of 2022 with his wife and made it their home where he continued his career in cyber security and was thrilled about the arrival of their son.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Justina Stevenson who is expecting the couple’s first child, Theodore L. Stevenson; parents, mother Carolyn M. Stevenson, father, John L. Stevenson; siblings, John C. Stevenson, Mark D. Stevenson and Mandisa A. Stevenson, along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.

The Stevenson family would like to express our thanks and appreciation to family and friends for their kind words, phone calls, thoughts and prayers during our time of bereavement. It is greatly appreciated.
