Mildred Tipps 95, of Decatur passed away of natural causes on September 3, 2022. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, from 12:00 till 1:00 PM. Her Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tipps was born on Nov. 28, 1926 in Livingston, KY. Her family first moved to Decatur in 1961. She left in 1976 to retire with her husband in Fayetteville, TN. After his death she returned to Decatur in 2002 where she became an active long time member of Central Park Baptist Church. Mrs. Tipps was preceded in death by husband Frank L. Tipps and daughter Teresa Overton.
Mrs. Tipps was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to a large family and many friends that adored her. She was a “spunky” independent woman who lived alone and drove until a few months before her death.
She is survived by daughters Jackie Branum (Steve), Beverly Standridge (Jim) and Frankye Tipps. Grandchildren include Brandon Crowe, Kristin Crowe Cutrell (Trey), Kelli Morrow (Mike), Whitney Inscho (Matt), Jamie Hawkins (Wayne), and Dana Whitten. Mrs. Tipps had ten (10) great grandchildren. She loved her Lord and Savior and her family; and will be deeply missed.
Memorial donations may be made to Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care or Central Park Baptist Church, Decatur, AL.
