Mildred Ruth Welty – Obituary

Mildred-Welty-1446902268Mildred Ruth Welty was born August 7, 1922 in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of the late Frank and Laonia Quack Dollahan.

She was united in marriage to Grover W. Welty in August of 1943. They were married for 55 years before Mr. Welty passed in April of 1998. She was a hommaker and an organist at the Methodist Church in Deer Creek, IL. She loved to sew, spending time at the river, going to tunica, playing key board and organ, watching TV, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Welty departed this life on November 5, 2015 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 2 Months, 29 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Marlese Ann Welty Dugger and special friend Dowle of Morgantown, NC; four sons: Daniel W. Welty and wife Dorothy of Savannah, TN, David Allen Welty and wife Shirley of Adamsville, TN, Michael Lindsey Welty and wife Debbie of Houston, TX, Robet Todd Welty of Miami, FL; 9 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren; special friend, Bessie Williams.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Welty was preceded in death by a brother, Olin Dollahan.
