Mildred (Millie) Alice Green, age 79, went home to be with her Savior Sunday, September 9, 2012. From her birth in Madisonville, KY, on January 5, 1933 to her death on Sunday she nourished people around her with love, faith, and music. She never met a stranger, and was always ready to help anyone that needed it and would always do her best to show them God’s love in the process. She taught piano for 40 years, and owned two businesses; but her biggest accomplishments were her three girls. She and her husband, Coy, of 60 years started a church in their home in Caro, MI 42 years ago that is still alive today. They have both been active members of every church they attended, and she was always thinking of new ways to share the gospel with as many people as she could. She was loved and cherished by many people, and touched many lives during her time on this earth. But, we will all draw comfort in the fact that she is now happy and at peace in her father’s arms. Left to honor Millie and remember her love is Millie’s husband Coy Green of Lawrenceburg, TN, her three daughters, Denise Spencer (David) of Bowling Green, KY, Karen Dunn (Eldon) of San Diego, CA, and Jeanette Green of Lawrenceburg, TN, her granddaughter, Amanda Spencer of Bowling Green, KY; a sister Hilda Simpson of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. Millie will be remembered as a bright, shining light in the various communities and churches she served.
