Mildred Louise Gwathney Hillis, 86, of New Hope, passed away Friday.
She was preceded in death by father, William Dewey Gwathney; mother, Lyda Lucille Gwathney; husband, Erwin Hillis; brothers, Ralph Gwathney, Richard Gwathney, and Jimmy Gwathney; sister, Joyce Justice; and daughters, Judy Hillis and Karen Hillis.
Surviving are daughters, Nancy (Frankie) Hudgins and Dorothy Hillis; sons, James Hillis, Kenneth Hillis, Billy (Stephanie) Hillis, and Robert (Amanda) Hillis; brother, Alvie Gwathney; sisters, Annette Pruitt, Barbara Mefford, and Sherri Lyons; 19 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 1:00 PM with Bro. Wayne Walls officiating.
Interment will be in Moon Cemetery.
