Mrs. Mildred Lorena Sneed, age 90 of Winder, Georgia, formerly of Woodville, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. She was a member of the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and was a song leader there for many years.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Sneed; parents, George and Margie Barron; brother, George Barron; sister, Mary Evett; grandson, Justin Sneed.
She is survived by her children, Reuben Sneed, John (Patricia) Sneed, Louise (John) Dempsey, Allen (Kay) Sneed, Betty (John) Ashworth; grandchildren, Joy (Mark) Fields, Samuel (Rachel) Sneed, Sarah (Bryan) Baker, Michael (Brandie) Caldwell, Lorie Nichols, Julie (Mike) Randall, Alyssa Dempsey, Jeffrey (Crystal) Sneed, Breana Barnett, Warner (Rachel) Ashworth, Daniel Ashworth, Toya (Dex) Scudgins; sister, Betty Hyatt; 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Harbin, and Rev. Alan Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
