A Celebration of Life Service for Mildred L. Norris, 84 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 2:00 P M at Oakland Baptist Church with interment Monday, July 3, 2023 at 11:00 A M in Corinth National Cemetery. Bro. Tray Wayne will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 12:00 P M until service time at Oakland Baptist Church. Mrs. Norris passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at her residence. She was born December 29, 1938 in Forrest City, AR to James Miller and Helen Tracy Miller. She was a factory worker and a member of Oakland Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, watching her soap operas and Wheel of Fortune. She loved going to church, her grandchildren and her dog, Bella. Mrs. Norris is survived by her sons, Don Morphis (Judy), Allen Morphis (Peggy) and Nakia Morphis (Kerri); her daughters, Linda Morphis, Ann Morphis and Jane Morphis; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 14 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Norris; her 1st husband and father of her children, Nathan Edward Morphis; her daughter, Delorise Moore; 1 grandchild; her father, James Miller; her mother, Helen Tracy Miller; her brothers, James Miller and Calvin Miller and her sister, Madeline Grovsner.
